About Us

Pakistan is a beautiful country with vast resources. Despite its beauty, poverty and deprivation has become wide spread. Literacy rate as well as rate of participation is deplorably low. Half of the population of school age children is out of school. Drop out rate is even worse. Besides the richness of resources one sees a general depression most probably due to lack of education in nation as a whole.

It is education which transforms a casual person into a responsible citizen, accelerates socio-economic development, promotes national integration and upholds individual dignity.

This was the situation when in 1987’ Tameer-e-Millat Foundation came into being and embarked upon a program of eradicating illiteracy from Pakistan by opening a network of high quality educational facilities throughout the country.

Tameer-e-Millat Foundation is duly registered as a Not for Profit Welfare Organization. During the past 19 years, TMF has been successfully able to establish 402 educational institutions all over Pakistan from primary and secondary level, The School of Excellence (A higher secondary facility + a residential facility – separately for Boys and Girls) including Tameer-e-Jannat program (a boarding, lodging and educational facility for earthquake affected children`), Tameer-e-Millat Institute of Technology and Vocational Training Centers:

Our Sindh Region is active since 2001 presently managing 8 schools with 1493 + students in Katchi Abadis of Karachi and in the Interior Sindh.

We still have plans to open more schools in large and small towns of Sindh. We also have a plan to set up a large residential School of Excellence for meritorious students in each district of Sindh.

If we want Pakistan to make a place in the comity of developed nations, the only way now left is to “Educate Pakistan “. And also the present education system,with its short comings, has to be redefined and transformed according to our ideology and character.

This is a stupendous task and calls for an effort in which all those, who can make some contribution , no matter how small or large it may be, must join hands so that our cherished dream of a progressive and prosperous Pakistan may become a reality.
